Kayleigh Quinn

Scottish Labour's MSP candidate in Eastwood

I've worked in Eastwood for over a decade and live here with my young family. Like many families in East Ren, I moved here because of the opportunities it offers for my two girls.

Eastwood is an amazing place to raise children because of our beautiful green spaces, thriving communities and excellent schools, but our area cannot take another five years of cuts to local budgets. We can't afford another five years of increasing NHS waiting lists, a growing attainment gap and a lack of vision for Scotland's economy. That's why I'm standing as Labour's candidate in the Scottish Parliament election to give our area a fresh voice in Holyrood and a new direction for Scotland.

The first campaign I ran in Eastwood was a decade ago, to save the local 394 bus service, which you can still see serving our communities today. I have a proven record of delivering for these communities already, and want to do more as your MSP.

A New Direction

In 2026, the choice people have is more managed failure with the SNP, or a new direction for Scotland with Labour.

I'm proud of the steps the UK Labour Government has taken to increase wages for the lowest paid, to bring bus services into local control, introduced a Renters Rights Bill, started the process of making homes more energy efficient and bringing down energy bills through domestic, clean power.

Compare that to the record of the SNP Government. 1 in 6 Scots are on NHS waiting lists, 10,000 children are in temporary accomodation, the attainment gap in our schools has grown, a rise in violent crime and the worst drugs deaths in Europe.
